The Integrated FF&E Workflow
To protect your opening date, we work backwards from site handover rather than forwards from design sign-off. Every custom package stops for your approval at five sign-off gates, and at each one you can stop, change or proceed:
- Evidence Brief & Concept: The design intent for every custom piece, mapped against spatial ergonomics and brand standards.
- Shop Drawings & Material Submittals: Production drawings, hardware schedules and physical master samples for timber, stone, upholstery and metalwork.
- Prototype Room: 1:1 furniture samples or a complete mock-up room, signed off by you and the operator before volume production.
- Pre-Shipment Inspection: Production in Boxareno’s ISO-certified workshops, inspected with photographs and measurements against the approved sample before it ships under BICON documentation.
- Installed Room at Handover: Phased delivery aligned with construction staging, with each installed room snagged against the prototype.

Full-Scale Guestroom Prototype: International 5-Star Hotel Brand (Confidential)
Before any commercial rollout, we build complete 1:1 mock-up guestrooms in our Boxareno workshops for client and brand sign-off, so ergonomic and visual issues are resolved before mass production begins. This process was proven on a confidential prototype guestroom commissioned by a major international hotel brand; the property was not completed, so it is shown here as a process capability, not a completed project.
Innovative Furniture Design Solutions: Coffee Table with Concealed Technology
Custom furniture design is how we solve the design problems that a fixed architecture cannot, which matters most in hotel refurbishments where the structure, services and room layouts are already set. This coffee table is one example of that thinking: the television and its cabling are housed inside the table body and rise only when needed, so the room reads as a living space rather than a screen room. Concealing technology and clearing visual noise is a neuroarchitecture principle, and it keeps daylight, views and natural materials as the focus of the room, strengthening the connection to nature that biophilic design is built on.
